We found a fenced off gator pit surrounded by 100 people checking out two monster Gators. It was perfect eye-candy while listening to a surprisingly great, bumping set from The Dynamites. The Gators were chilling in this swampy pit with 6 feet of water expanding to dry land around the edges.
Four Native Americans had the gators pretty well under control. They even put on a show for us. The 4th generation Gator handler playfully wrestled the 8-footer down and tied his jaws together, while lovingly tickling his neck and eye.
They had a little more trouble with the 10-footer. The jeans-clad trainer was poking him with a stick to get him to leap out at him to entertain the crowd.
The sequence went: poke-bite-poke-bite-po..BITE. The Gator jumped the gun and was just inches from biting turning the trainer into Chubbs from Billy Madison. Pretty exciting, great tunes from The Dynamites and, no one got hurt. Bo
