Bass player Rob Derhak was feeling the love Sunday.

-A.S.
I caught a small portion of moe.’s first set Sunday, in between getting funked up at George Clinton and leaving for the New Pornographers. Live moe. is always hit or miss for me, but this weekend they were pretty on. One of my favorite parts of the weekend was shooting moe. Guitar player, Al Schnier (left) is very photogenic and often walks to the front of the stage during solos, which made getting some monster rock faces very easy.

Set two was a whole new ballgame. Moe. in the dark with their light show is when they are in their element. I have not seen a light show that impressive since Phish, and the whole crowd definitely appreciated it.

The whole crowd sang along to “Kyle’s Song” and Zack and I enjoyed a “Cross Eyed & Painless” tease during a jam. During the song that closed the second set, moe.’s two guitar players, Chuck Garvey and Schnier climbed to the top of the light rigs on the sides of the stage for some face melting guitar rock that was out of this world. Moe. closed out Summer Camp with an encore of the fan favorite, “Rebubula,” which could not have been a better song to send us on our ways.Flashing lights, lights.
