-A.S. Blake and I got to Stephen Marley right about at the start of his set. There was already a decent sized crowd for our first What Stage experience. We had already seen people in Metallica shirts waiting to get into the stage area at 11:30 a.m.
Marley had lots of people on stage, including one child waving a Jamaican flag throughout the entire set. The whole band was great, and they had the full reggae sound, complete with great back-up vocals.
The set was a mix of songs off of Stephen Marley’s last album and classic Bob hits. The whole crowd sang along to “No Woman, No Cry” and “Jammin.’” It was a great day set, and a fun start to our Friday.
