-A.S. After accidentally stumbling upon the awesome funk that is the Dynamites at Langerado while checking out the gators, we made sure that we saw them this time around. These guys are amazing, but apparently everybody doesn’t know that yet. There was not that big of a crowd, but the kids that were there definitely got down.Leo Black of the Dynamites was clearly enjoying the day at Rothbury.

After a warm up tune led by band leader Leo Black, the great Charles Walker (left) was introduced to the stage. He was ready to go in his lime green suit and took the crowd through some of the bands tunes. What really got the crowd going was covers of The Staple Singers’ “I’ll Take You There” and The Stones’ “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.”

After that the people were there were ready for anything Charles Walker and the Dynamites had to throw at them. Walker had everyone in attendance singing along for “Can You Feel It?” a track of the band’s album Kaboom! It was definitely a show that was enjoyed by all, and surely left some new Dynamites fans yearning for more. As they left the stage, Leo Black left everyone with these parting words: “No matter what you do, do it with soul.”
