~Z.T.~ Chicago, IL We arrived just in time to walk by Caribou and made out way to Icy Demons. Their experimental music had me intrigued in different ways every song. Every time I looked up, their front man Griffin Rodriguez was doing something uniquely. Plucking along on an upright bass, rocking old school, or rapping, he was quite a spectacle in his tie-dye. I was sad I only saw 20 minutes of them. They also have a hilariously punny album titled Tears of a Clone which I must acquire.

We moved on to Fleet Foxes, my biggest positive surprise of the day. Two soulful voices harmonized over their guitars, occasionally played with a violin bow. They were enchanting and a bit magical. A perfect afternoon band. Definitely worth checking out.
