-A.S. The Black Crowes were introduced by Dave Matthews right at 7:00 pm and it was a great intro. Dave told everyone that he saw five kids bite it coming down the hill at Alpine Valley when they first opened the gates and said he hoped they were alright.
I’ve said it several times on this here blog, Chris Robinson is one of the best rock vocalists around. He looked much less homeless at Alpine than he did in this photo taken at Mile High.

The Black Crowes played some tunes off Warpaint, including “Goodbye Daughters of the Revolution” and “Oh Josephine.” In what was a way-too-short 50 minute set, the Crowes absolutely rocked “Jealous Again” for a highlight.
