-A.S. Well, not an official fan club per se, but they’re definitely fans of our work. I wrote the satirical article “You Know How I Know Coldplay Isn’t Gay?” a while back joking about how 40-Year-Old Virgin was ruining Coldplay for us all. This morning I woke up to an e-mail from a fan of Festival Crashers.
A Cannuck that was thanking me for writing the post, saying that he “was about to literally throw out my entire Coldplay album collection until I saw your article ‘You know how I know Coldplay isn’t gay?’ on your blog. I thought that your message would soon spread around the Internet that Coldplay wasn’t gay, but the idiocy has still not ended.”
He has created a Facebook group dedicated to his cause. I said in the post, I am not for calling Coldplay (or anything/anyone) gay all. The point of the post was to comment on how ridiculous of a situation being called gay for liking Coldplay was. I am honored that we have fans that feel so passionately about our work, but c’mon. Jokes, we still get jokes…right?!?!
