~Z.T.~ Andy- I challenge you to a slap bet. That’s right, a slap bet.
The bet is we must each write one preview article a day leading up to ACL. We’ve got 10 days. Any day you don’t post, a slap is acquired. If you go two days without posting, you are owed three additional slaps. I pray it doesn’t get to three consecutive days.
It’s meant to be inspirational. Our readers will know they can expect two articles a day and if they don’t they’re gonna hear about the slaps.
I phoned Mr. Shore yesterday evening to propose said slap bet and he denied my inaugural request. Well, sir. You’ve been challenged publicly. Will you step up and accept? Or will I just dominate you in my festival preview coverage, It’s up to you.
I also propose that our readers will be allowed to slap us. All we need now is a slap bet commissioner. Who wants it?

Andy has been informed that the slap commissioner will frown upon that very much. Also, refusing a slap bet is pretty pretty pretty pretty weak.

I think that if Andy doesn’t take the slap bet he’s a straight up punk, a little girl even. And under those circumstances I wouldnt want to read his little girl, punk posts anyway.

Obviously Cristina is not a regular reader. Otherwise she would remember that Zack lost all of his rock cred when he ranked Simon & Garfunkel higher than Aerosmith for bands he would rather play as on Guitar Hero. I love Paul Simon as much as the next guy, but his guitar work is nothing compared to Joe Perry.

There will be no slap bet, no matter how much you get your friends to talk trash to me on the internet. I’ve got flamed on here before, and I’m sure this won’t be the last time. Whenever I feel down about these internet meanies, I’ll just remember that I have a fan club of homophobic, Canadian, Catholic school boys.

That Simon and Garfunkel thing was such a grasp at straws by you right there. Aww I lost all my rock cred forever. Wahh. Not buying it. All i’m saying is…let’s preview the pants off this festival. it’s the first one in a month and a half and we don’t have one after it for months.

Take the bet. If only to educate people like me, people who don't understand why ranking Simon & Garfunkel higher than Aerosmith is such a big deal.

I never said I wouldn’t do the coverage. I’m just sorry that Zack needs the fear of me slapping him to get him to post on the blog nowadays. There will be no slap bet, and I hope Zack can maintain his motivation towards this blog without it.

well, it was partly fear of the ten year anniversary of you slapping me, but mostly I wanted our readers to know they’d get two a days.
And I was hoping I’d have some kind of bender going from friday to sunday and have to post from my iphone behind a starbucks and barely get a post in…don’t you see the potential for slapping me silly?
