~Z.T.~ I guess it’s fitting that Lil Wayne won the catchiest song of ’08 contest. This was his year. Highest selling album, massive world tour, most Grammy nods. But I do still have some issue with it winning.
It’s like the M.V.P. award in baseball. Sure, Pujols was the best hitter in the N.L. this year, but M.V.P.? The Cards didn’t even make the playoffs. Where would they be without him? Umm, exactly the same. Not making the playoffs. MVP doesn’t mean best and catchiest doesn’t mean most popular.
Lollipop was the most popular song of the year on the biggest album, but I’ll never believe it’s the catchiest. It has never been in my head for a second. Oh well. You voted. I can’t complain. I mean, I can. I clearly am. Whatever. I’m just hungover and it’s after 6 p.m. and my bracket did lousy. Happy New Year!
