@ZackTeibloom Gotta give points to Pitchfork for being creative. Last year we were treated to “perform an entire album” night. This year we get to request songs. Even better news is that we get to pick the songs for the best day of line-ups. I’ve only seen two of these bands live so I felt I should abandon the number grade system, but it’s Pitchfork. Have to do it.
Friday – “Write the Night: Set Lists by Request”
Built to Spill 9.2, The Jesus Lizard, Yo La Tengo, Tortoise
Saturday
The National 6.4- I really couldn’t stand their show at Lolla. Sorry, indie rockers. I must be missing something. I never got into The Boxer. Pharoahe Monch, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart
Sunday
Grizzly Bear, The Walkmen, Vivian Girls Heard of Grizzly Bear and The Walkmen, but don’t know that I’ve heard them. That’s what festivals are for.

Thank god I have a indie music lover such as Hilary in Chicago. With you in Austin, I don’t think I’d be able to do this festival justice without one. Unless we wanted a Slightly Stoopid repeat.

definitely check out grizzly bear. indie rock darlings, those boys are. the walkmen are kinda weak live. e.f. and the harps opened for them back in september. left halfway through their set. i’ve listened to pains of being pure at heart but didn’t really get that into them. yo la tengo is the bee’s knees.
