@ZackTeibloom If your real name was Nick Carter, you’d pretty much have to change it to something as hard as MURS, (Making Underground S**t Raw) wouldn’t you? Especially if you were a bare-chested thick dreadlocked, rapper and not the toe-headed younger brother of a Backstreet Boy.

 MURS and his MC had the crowd locked in from before he said a word. The MC cued up some Motown,* speds it up until it’s unrecognizeable and let the rapper do his thing.

“I usually say turn it up, but F**k that, “Hell Yeah!” he yelled at the crowd after a couple songs. He spelled out h-u-s-t-l-e and had us willingly yell it at him over and over. His MC sampled “Gold Digger” as he tore off his shirt three songs in.

MURS murders. Slays the crowd. In the literal sense he made an OJ reference after introing a song with a message of loving your ex so much, but sometimes wanting to kill her. Cute little ditty.

“Bruce Springsteen. Snoop Dogg. It’s gonna be crazy in this “mother fu**er,” he said to hype up the Thursday crowd. MURS told us how whenever he runs low on money he just buys an ounce. He suggested the government do the same on a larger scale then led a big sing-a-long for “Santeria.”

I’m not sure MURS has enough hooks, catchy beats or material for an album I’d listen to regularly, but he knows how to entertain.
