Unsuccessful Uncrash #1: Leaving Bonnaroo

tents@ZackTeibloom I fully intended to leave Bonnaroo this morning. My suit is hanging up in my car. Instead, I’m wearing a bathing suit in the same room as Jimmy Buffet. I pride myself on crashing festivals, but uncrashing a festival? It pretty much goes against everything I stand for.

Besides the fact that I didn’t get to my tent until 5 a.m. and would have needed to leave by 8 a.m. to make it to pictures, there’s just no way out of this fest.

When I pulled into the lot Thursday night, I made a path for my car to be able to back around a tent and made sure I was the second car to pull in. Twenty minutes later, my best laid plans went to shit. The tents sprung up all around me before I could even finish getting my tent out of my car.

I begged a traffic director to let me move spots, but after we looked around, it became painfully obvious that it would be impossible to move in any way. I’d have to get 15 people to simultaneously move their cars and, even then, there really wasn’t anywhere to go. There’s no leaving this festival.

I’m sorry, Jason. I still think you should have gotten married at Bonnaroo. Jason Segel said so.
