@ZackTeibloom At the risk of him reading this and banning me from his festival forever, I have a feeling Perry Farrell has tried to suck himself off. A bunch of times. I didn’t think it was possible to love yourself more than Kanye, but there for the grace of god goes Perry Farrell. The most full self-indulgent, overrated “rock star” at Lollapalooza.
After last year’s debacle of having Slash as his special guest, but not being able to hear him thanks to sound issues, Perry decides to make sure he’s late for his set by booking Prophit up until the moment Perry is supposed to perform. Prophit worked the crowd into a frenzy by getting a raucous mosh-pit going during their cover of “Bulls on Parade.” Too bad Perry was such a massive letdown.
If booking himself as a headliner at his own festival wasn’t enough, Perry gave himself a second set on his own stage with the mystery of a “special guest.” Would we get to see Dave Grohl before his stint with Them Crooked Bastards? Would he bring up a guitar hero like Slash that wasn’t even at the festival?
It turns out he had Joe Perry play with him at Jane’s Addiction set and let the packed crowd at his stage wait 20 minutes because he didn’t schedule time to set up his “special guest” who turned out to be his wife.
Sasha Baron Cohen must have have watched Perry Farrell a few times to get his flaming Bruno movements down. Perry prances around the stage to his miserable poppy atrociousness. His new single “I Like ‘Em Big,” seemingly about his wife’s breasts, feels like a George Michael track that he decided not to record because he thought it sounded too gay.
Perry- do us a favor. Stop playing at your festival. Stop getting our hopes up about guest spots and start booking real headliners again. The drop off between 2008 and 2009 was drastic. Better luck next year. 4.0/10

You don’t know what you’re talking about and I hope Perry does ban you from covering next year. Both sets were amazing. Maybe I’m biased. Maybe it’s not this your cup of tea. But to attack him like that is just ridiculous. By the way the special guest was Leanne Rimes on one performance @ kidz, Nick Maybury was special guest @ Perry performance on DJ stage also Kascade was a special guest and they played machine girl a kascade song, and the place was going nuts. They did not play any Janes songs at the dj stage. It also did not take 20 minutes to get Joe Perry out there. It was the encore equivalent to a club or amphitheater show and needed to set up the acoustic stuff. Also what I heard is that Joe Perry was scheduled to be there in case Stephen couldn’t play. So why don’t you get your facts straight before writing bs like this.

It was the encore equivalent to a club or amphitheater show and needed to set up the acoustic stuff. Also Joe Perry was scheduled to be there for press reasons, and in case Stephen Perkins couldn’t play because of his injury they would have Joe Perry sit in with them to make an acoustic set more interesting. Maybe you should do some research first, then write. You couldn’t even get Dave Grohl’s new band name right
