@ZackTeibloom New Orleans already has Jazz Fest, my favorite of 2009. They’ve even got Voodoo and Essence. Make room for another festival. Next week New Orleans hosts Project 30-90 Festival with headliners Ghostland Observatory and Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. Every festival aims to be as green as possible, but Project 30-90 kicks it up a notch.
The stages are run on solar and wind turbine power, they offer green paperless tickets and comprehensive recycling will be on display everywhere you look from merchandise to transportation to the stages. And with only two stages, festival attendees won’t have to miss a minute of music. Make sure you stick around for Grace Potter and the Nocturnals and get close enough to see Grace sweat. Bring some dancing shoes for Ghostland. You’ll need em.
Tickets are $35 with an optional $2 Carbon Offset Donation.
The music:
- Generationals- 2:30-3:20
- MyNameIsJohnMichael- 3:25-4:15
- Jason Isbell & 400 Unit- 4:20-5:15
