Ragged VIP Trivia Contest Winner

Posted by teibs On October - 24 - 2009

winnerz1 Ragged VIP Trivia Contest Winner@ZackTeibloom Even though you could have gotten all these answers with Google and FC search, it came down to who knew us best.* It was one of our oldest friends (Sami- who should get extra rock sauce for answering almost entirely without researching) Andy’s roommate, and FC Twitter friend Joanne (@pbrandpbj.)

I had fun scoring these entries, even if formatting it took the better part of three hours. Here were the three best* entrants and the scoring with commentary and links. Let’s see who won the 6 CD set from www.raggedmag.com.

Phish costume ideas

Posted by shore On October - 23 - 2009

phishcostumes Phish costume ideas @AndyShore Festival Crashers wanted to throw out some Phish related costume ideas with Festival 8 officially a week away. If you’re like me, you put things off to the last minute. Most of the costume stores are picked through by now and none of the good costumes remain, but this is going to be a special Halloween.

So many sets of Phish! Why not honor the special weekend by dressing up as your favorite Phish character or song? Here’s how you can pull it off: Read the rest of this entry »

Bad Veins won’t ditch Irene or explain band name

Posted by teibs On October - 23 - 2009

badveins 300x200 Bad Veins wont ditch Irene or explain band name@ZackTeibloom Put on a Bad Veins song and have someone guess how many people are in the band. They’ll swear you’re listening to at least a five-piece band with their full, lush sound. Come to Emo’s tonight (Friday October 23rd) to see how this Cincinnati based duo, on their first national tour, uses “Irene” and a phone to create a bigger sound than you’ve ever heard from a duo*.

It has the makings for an incredible night. RhythmSektion.com was able to get an exclusive interview with lead singer Benjamin Davis. Festival Crashers decided to post it as well. Read the rest of this entry »

Posted by teibs On October - 22 - 2009

free stuff FREE MUSIC: FC is Robin Hooding it for you@ZackTeibloom I just want to give you free music. If you don’t like the contests we run, I’ll just win other music sites’ contests and then give you their prizes to. That’s right. I’m Robin Hood. We just gave away two tickets to Quiet Company on our Twitter account (@festivalcrasher) that we won in a costume contest for my 69 costume in 2006*.

Three things for you to do:

1.Beat @mattsilver in the trivia contest for 6 free albums going on until tomorrow at 5 p.m. central.

2 Enter the Free Fun Fun Fun fest passes contest. I’ve already entered thrice already and I have my pass, so when I win, they go to you. Treat it like a Halloween costume: think outside the box, have a theme and don’t just go for the sexy choice.

3. Enter the Fun Fun Fun Fest Scavenger hunt on Saturday. If you need help coming up with a team name or need assistance during the contest, don’t hesitate to ask me. I’m here for all your crashing needs. Read the rest of this entry »

Win Free Fun Fun Fun Fest Tickets

Posted by teibs On October - 20 - 2009

fun fun fun 300x247 Win Free Fun Fun Fun Fest Tickets@ZackTeibloom Fun Fun Fun Fest is doing an outstanding job hyping themselves up this year. Every day they’ve been posting an overwhelming amount of videos of their artists on Facebook and Twitter, hosting giveaways at venues and making it obvious the staff is as excited about the fest as I am*. Even better than the artist profiles is the contests they keep dropping on us. There are quick ones like making up a fake super-group to win a pair of tickets (I entered and if** I win, I’ll give y’all a pair.)

That contest is quick easy, but the scavenger hunt this Saturday looks like a blast whether you win or not. Check it out: Read the rest of this entry »

Posted by teibs On October - 19 - 2009

phish8 300x182 Phish Festival 8 Halloween hype@ZackTeibloom Halloween is rapidly approaching. We’re at the “if you want facial hair as part of your costume, you’re going to need to start growing it now” phase of October. UPDATE 10/23: Van Halen is the first to go. It would have been fun to see Trey shred up some Van Halen, but it was a long shot.

Latest Phish cuts: Van Halen, Neil Young Tonight’s the Night, Curtis Mayfield, Superfly soundtrack, Steely Dan Pretzel Logic,The Police Ghost in the Machine, Frank Zappa Hot Rats, Miles Davis Jack Johnson, Rage Against the Machine Evil Empire

VH1 Hip Hop Honors 2009

Posted by shore On October - 14 - 2009

defjamhiphophonors VH1 Hip Hop Honors 2009 @AndyShore I’m about to begin watching VH1 Hip Hop Honors 2009, which honors 25 years of Def Jam Recordings. In the information on my DVR, it says that DMX, Eminem, Gym Class Heroes, Kid Rock, Public Enemy and many others are set to perform. Is it just me, or is one of those things not like the other ones? Performances aside, I’m just excited that Tracy Morgan is hosting. I need me a fix of some Tracy Morgan humor, with 30 Rock not starting yet. Read the rest of this entry »
