@AndyShore Set one on Halloween was an afternoon set. Some fans were already out in costume, but the energy level hadn’t hit it’s max yet. We found ourselves a spot just to the side of the soundboard and settled in. Costume and people watching proved to be an excellent way to pass the time. At least two Falcon the balloon boys mosied on by and a green man was standing just in front of us.
The lengthy afternoon set featured several great sing-a-longs and music to enjoy the sunshine in. “Sample in a Jar” opened things off and made way to “Divided Sky.” Trey, speaking to the crowd for the first time of the weekend, told the fans it had been a while since they got to play on a lawn. Cue Page for “Lawn Boy.”
“Bathtub Gin,” “Runaway Jim” and “Possum” were all fan favorites and high energy points of the set. It was hot, but the music was too good for the heat to get to anyone. “Run Like an Antelope” closed out the set, as a group dressed as antelopes walked past us. A great start to the day, indeed.
