Wow. I have been in Austin for 11 years now and this is the first time that I heard of free week. It sounds like it was a blast. Do you just go and show up at the venues or do you still need some kind of pass?

I lost my Emo’s V-card last night and I’m thrilled to say I have no regrets and I didn’t have to fake it. Emo’s as the appeal of a shack but last night I could not wipe the dumb ass smile off my face. The staff who are coarse and tough actually have a boyish charm about them that when they smiled I didn’t feel like I was going to be thrown out for not wearing black and having piercings on my face (I don’t like needles or pain for that matter). The music was awe-inspiring, I loved watching the crowd move to it and seeing the expressions on their faces. The fact that it was all FREE.99 was splendid but I would have paid for the experience. I will be going back.

Harts…its far from over. It goes through this coming Sunday (a total of 9 days of free music!)
