@AndyShore Ra Ra Riot and She & Him had conflicting set times. I like both bands. Ra Ra Riot had one thing counting against them. They don’t have Zooey Deschanel. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have a bit of a crush on her. Shhh. Don’t tell Ben Gibbard.
We started and finished at She & Him, but hit up a small amount of Ra Ra Riot as well. I wish I would have stayed at She & Him. They were better. M Ward and Deschanel are great on stage. Deschanel bounces around on the stage when not singing, keeping the energy high. The music is fun, sunny and hit perfectly with the late afternoon desert breeze. I was happy to catch the encore, which was Deschanel leading the band through a cover of “I Put A Spell On You.”
