@AndyShore Put all of our favorite bands into a line up and throw a festival in our hometown. You know we’re going to talk about it. Zack and I run through the stellar line-up of North Coast Music Festival and talk about why Lupe Fiasco should be a headliner (it’s his hometown too!). Speaking of festivals and Chicago…Zack also reflects on some of the highlight of Lollapalooza 2010. We close with Zack telling us about his recent photo shoot. Thanks for listening to the Podcrash. The Podcrash – Lollapalooza 2010 Preview
@AndyShore We started this before 5am my time. Zack woke up in the city, hopped on the train and made it back to the Chicago suburbs in time to record this episode of The Podcrash for you. Don’t say we never did anything for ya. I start pretty groggy, as Zack predicted, but I woke up by the end…mostly. Zack may have been more tired than he admitted. He misspoke and said “the Dirty Projectors never fail to disappoint.” We may be more entertaining when we’re not on our A game. Laugh along with us, won’t you? Read the rest of this entry »
The Podcrash #12: Dave Grohl Vs. Jack White
@ZackTeibloom Jack White. Dave Grohl. They may make you think of The White Stripes or Nirvana or The Raconteurs or Foo Fighters or The Dead Weather or Them Crooked Vultures. Maybe you think about the times they shared the stage with The Rolling Stones or Led Zeppelin or Paul McCartney or Pearl Jam. How about a Tencious D music video or an upcoming single with Jay-Z.
Electric Daisy Carnival Wrap – The Podcrash
@AndyShore I do my best at explaining to Zack what Electric Daisy Carnival actually is. It’s hard to put into words when you’re on stimulation overload for two straight days. We talk about how a DJ festival is different than DJs at a festival and why Travis x A-Track were my favorite show of the weekend. Read the rest of this entry »
The Podcrash #10: Bonnaroo Wrap w/ @ShiftyWhiteGuy
@ZackTeibloom Episode 10 and we finally have an intro! And it’s not one of me singing “We are The Champions.” Many thanks to Alex Siegel of Slate Digital for the beat and being the massive narcissist I am, I’ll take credit for mixing this on Garage Band.
I woke up @shiftywhiteguy from his post-Bonnaroo shower nap and his legs looked like the Canadian flag when crossed. He had a ton of stories for us. He kind of stuck to his original schedule and he made a lot more happen. Tomorrow I’m gonna post a quiz for you to make sure you listened. I’ll even send you a prize. Give it a whirl.
The Podcrash #9: Bonnaroo Preview w/ @shiftywhiteguy
@ZackTeibloom It felt good to have someone else in the studio last night. @shiftywhiteguy kept @andyshore and me on my feet and stretched it to a 30+ minute podcrash. He came out firing, telling us he was going because he didn’t have sand in his vagina.
We went all the way through the schedule and made tough choices. We argued over sandwiches. He lived up to his shifty nickname, choosing Black Keys over Chromeo and The Melvins over The Dead Weather? He gave a full explanation why he made the choices he made here. I suggest you listen as you read.

The Podcrash Episode 8: ACL Line-up
@ZackTeibloom We can’t sleep over at FC headquarters. Phish & Muse. Andy can’t even decide who’s #1. He has The Eagles in his top 5. I don’t have them in my top 7,000. Maybe I’ve been watching The Big Lebowski too much. It’s a 15-minute Podcrash analysis and we go deep to find the bands you need to know about. Andy gushes over lasers, I get confused about who Norah Jones is and I think we all learn a little something. Listen here:
And if you want to read along with the 2010 ACL line-up, it’s here…
The Podcrash Episode 7 – Zack and Andy discuss Bonnaroo 2010 and more
@AndyShore In this episode of the Podcrash, Zack and I talk about why they aren’t making the trip to Bonnaroo 2010. Sure the line-up is killer, but so are the conditions. We give some credence to the shows we’re gonna miss and tell some of our Bonnaroo horror stories. There is one Bonnaroo band we are missing that we feel especially close to. Tune in to find out which dynamic duo we feel best represents us. Not just that. We ARE them.
The Podcrash Episode 6: Zack Tells Andy About Jazz Fest 2010
Coachella 2010 Wrap & Jazz Fest Preview – The Podcrash Episode #5
@AndyShore Zack and I finish up our Coachella 2010 coverage to kick off Episode #5. We touch on the disappointments that were Gorillaz and Sly Stone. We discuss the super groups and side projects that defined Coachella. A debate springs out as to which category Atoms For Peace, the Dead Weather, Them Crooked Vultures and Street Sweeper Social Club fall under. Debate spills over into our Jazz Fest 2010 coverage, as we talk about the scheduling conflicts of weekend two. Zack also talks about crashing Jazz Fest, and the time he got caught.
