@ZackTeibloom Coachella 2012 line-up dropped last night and we’re pretty, pretty, pretty ecstatic with it. Radiohead is a 9.6-10 range, Black Keys are a solid 9.4-9.6 and has anyone seen Dr. Dre?! He can only make Snoop better. We’re also hyped for M83, Justice, Girl Talk, Feist, The Shins, The Arctic Monkeys, Grace Potter and oh so much more. Enjoy 18 minutes of pod. Festival season can’t get here soon enough…

@ZackTeibloom Good times abounded at Lollapalooza 2011. We’ll say some things that may surprise you, like why we’re anti some crashing methods and how the rain was the best thing that could have happened at Lollapalooza 2011. Coldplay a top-3 show? Eminem vs. MMJ? Cee-Lo sucks. It was a lively discussion. We went almost 40 minutes. Hope you enjoy hanging with me, Andy and Caitlin.
@AndyShore I had a cold the week before last that put me out of commission to do anything. Zack bucked up to get through a quick episode of the Podcrash. We discuss the ACL 2011 schedule, its highlight, lowlights and conflicts. Do we see Kanye West or Coldplay, Ray Lamontagne or Big Boi? I think Sunday sucks and Zack agrees. Can you recommend any good bands for us to see on Sunday that we missed? Hope to see some of you in Austin to celebrate great music…and my birthday. Read the rest of this entry »
@ZackTeibloom Not everything exciting that happens in Texas goes down in Austin. Houston’s Free Press Summer Fest has a monster line-up headlined by Ween and Weezer and all kinds of goodies in the middle from Big Boi to Yeasayer and Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings. Want to know who else to check out? You know about Ani DiFranco’s dick, right? No? You’ve come to the right place…
Follow along hour by hour with Caitlin’s guide on Austin Writes Music and let us know if you have any more favorites we should be sure to see. See you in Houston, soon.

@ZackTeibloom I grill Andy on what his first Prince experience was like. In short, not as purple as you’d expect, every bit as incredible, with a splash of confetti . The long version? Listen to find out. After Andy breaks down the show, we spin off into talking about Andy’s favorite shows all time and where this ranks. It’s a nice little chat. Enjoy.

@ZackTeibloom We knew Arcade Fire was coming. We were pretty sure about Kanye and Stevie, but Coldplay was a wildcard. Will we even see them? Not if Kanye has anything to say about it. And Kanye always has something to say about things. Well, so do we. I open up about the C3 ban and what it means for the future of crashes, we compare ACL to Lolla and pick our favorite day. Who does Andy really want to see that would surprise you? And most importantly, why will someone get pregnant if Andy goes to a show? Click here to listen <—It’s only 20 minutes. Hang out with us.
@ZackTeibloom Lollapalooza pulled off something special with its 20th anniversary line-up. Andy and I had to break it down and guess who the headliners would be pitted against and who we’d pick. Will we have to decide between Eminem and Coldplay? Would anyone make us miss the Foo Fighters? Spend 21 minutes with us and see why we end with Andy sounding like he’s dying and yelling “Too Soon!” at me.
@ZackTeibloom Andy and I finally realized we could talk on Skype Video so we wouldn’t step all over each others lines as we dissected the Outside Lands festival and debated its strengths vs. Lollapalooza. Andy tells us how much he loves Adele and I counter w/ Marina and the Diamonds. Then we end up talking about Passover and Umphreys?
@ZackTeibloom Are Andy and I turning into grumpy old men or are this year’s festival line-ups just not up to snuff? Maybe a little bit of both. Stick around until Andy realizes our impending doom… in 14 years. We discuss Bonnaroo,New Orleans Jazz Fest, the Lollapalooza headliners and Hangout Festival.
@AndyShore BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Boo this line-up. BOO!!! These would be awesome headliners if this was Coachella 2009. We had higher hopes. There are some bright spots. Listen along as we break down the whole line-up. Zack is the most against it. I see the potential, and Caitlin is as pleased as Punch (a saying I had to look up to verify and originated from of a puppet named Mr. Punch – the more you know). Even though we don’t love the line-up, festival season is around the corner. That is the best news of all. Read the rest of this entry »
